Dans le cadre du projet subventionné « Procédé d'extraction d'huiles à partir du plancton (zooplancton) », Weber Ultrasonics travaille depuis mars 2013 à la mise au point d'un concept d'installation de production et de transformation de biomasse planctonique en coopération avec l'institut de recherche Pilot Pflanzenöltechnologie Magdeburg (PPM), spécialisé dans les techno­logies des huiles végétales.

Projet de recherche interdisciplinaire AFSARI

vin2food a donné naissance au projet de coopération AFSARI auquel étaient associés plusieurs entreprises, institutions et établissements d'enseignement supérieur. Weber Ultrasonics a été l'initiateur de ce projet. Au cours d'une phase de planification de six mois, un groupe de travail germano-africain a été constitué pour l'élaboration et l'introduction d'un concept de recherche ainsi que l'élaboration d'un concept de recherche définitif pour la production durable de produits destinés à l'alimentation animale et humaine à partir de vinasse. Le financement du projet a été assuré par le ministère fédéral allemand de l'Éducation et de la Recherche.
